Advanced Cataract Solutions

Over fifty percent of people over the age of 60, and quite a few younger than that, suffer from cataracts. Currently there is no medical treatment to reverse or prevent the development of cataracts

LASIK

One of the most popular ways to correct vision is with a procedure called LASIK (laser in-situ keratomileusis), which uses a laser to change the curvature of the cornea (outer window of the eye).

Glaucoma Care & Treatment

Glaucoma is a disease which occurs when there is increased fluid pressure within the eye. In patients with glaucoma, the fluid within the eye doesn’t drain properly.

Oculoplastics

Aging, the environment and your health can all effect the appearance of your eyelids and skin. Droopy eyelids and wrinkles can add years to your face and may even block your vision.

Retinal Services

Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is a retinal disease that occurs when the macula, an area at the retina at the back of the eye, begins to gradually deteriorate, usually because of age.

Corneal Cross-Linking

Cross-linking is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure that combines the use of UVA light and riboflavin eye drops to add stiffness to corneas which have been weakened by disease or refractive surgery.

Clinical Research

Our highly trained staff are educated and experienced in clinical trial management and strive to maintain excellent quality standards.

Orthoptic Services

Orthoptics is an ophthalmic field pertaining to the evaluation and treatment of patients with disorders of the visual system with an emphasis on binocular vision and eye movements.

EVO ICL

ICL means Implantable Collamer® Lens and is a state-of-the-art vision correction procedure.  The EVO ICL lens is placed inside the eye behind the iris (the colored part of the eye) and helps correct nearsightedness and astigmatism. The EVO ICL lenses are safe, effective, UV protective, and give a phenomenal visual result. EVO ICL’s are for people who want to see without glasses and contacts, even if they’ve been told they can’t have LASIK.

Surgery Center

Asheville Eye Surgery Center (AESC) is a fully licensed and accredited outpatient surgery center dedicated exclusively to eye surgery.

Massage & Skin Care

Treat yourself with a massage or facial with our in-house aesthetician, Cindy Hughes. She will assess your skin’s condition and recommend a program which best suits your needs.

Eye Exams

A comprehensive eye exam will evaluate not only how well you see, but also identify potential eye diseases. Some eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, can result in serious vision loss if not detected and treated early.
